The forest which are characterised by high amount of rainfall is called Rainforest. There are 2 types of Rainforest namely Tropical rainforest and Temperate rainforest. The monsoon trough plays a significant role in creating climatic conditions which is necessary for Tropical rainforests. It has been still estimated that a lot of insects,organisms is still undiscovered in such forests. Rainforests are somewhat responsible for creating a small amount of Oxygen turnover in this earth.
A tropical rainforest typically has a number of layers, each with different plants and animals adapted for life in that particular area. Examples include the emergent, canopy and understorey layers.
